Check out Minority Report (2002) concept art by Mark Goerner!

There's a lot of technology in Minorty Report that we're still waiting for, like flying cars, but there's one that's right around the corner: the Spider Robots. In the movie the police send Spider Robots to search the apartments for John Anderson (Tom Cruise). Today, the military is developing spider-like micro robots for reconaissance and remote sensing. We're living in the future! The design of the robots in Minority Report went through many changes and one of the artists working on the film was Mark Goerner. Goerner is a professional concept artist who's worked on Hollywood projects like X2 (2002), Thor (2011) and the unfilmed Superman Lives.

  1. I've never seen Minority Report. I tend to get it mixed up in my head with Vanilla Sky which I have seen and which I know is completely different except for the fact that they are both Tom Cruise films of the same era. The concept art looks great.

  2. A lot of Cruise's movies look alike ArmchairSquid. I hate to say this since I haven't seen half as many classic films as you have, but it's worth watching for the futurism.
